New Song on the Mind

So, I'm thinking a lot lately.
Shocking, I know.


But, I've been thinking about the lyrics in this song.

Okay...in the interest of full disclosure, I'm a huge Matthew West fan.   

But, recently his wife Emily told my Nashville sister, Angie to listen to it. And I can't stop listening to is as I look toward Friday's appointment with my oncologist to begin my treatment plan.

I have also been partnered with the American Cancer Society~Reach to Recover~  who will help guide me through the process of chemo.  Chemo.  Hmmm... still sorta' odd to stay that just a week after being diagnosed and having already undergone surgery.  But, I think that's why I relate to the song.

I'm also thinking ahead to April 29th.  Just may circle that day in red on my calendar. The gal from the American Cancer Society says I can go walk the Survivor lap with her at the annual Relay for Life.

I'm learning a lot about myself and through others.  And that is...positive is has to be a way of life for me now.  Not just an attitude.  So "here's" to a life of a glass half-full.
