As I landed in Dallas, I thought "here we go, let's go fight this with all we have!" The day of testing yesterday was quite more simple than what I had anticipated, all I know is due that peace and comfort that surrounds me because of all of your constant thoughts and prayers!!
Then came the fun part, we had made tentative arrangements, by a recommendation from the American Cancer Society, to go look at wigs if my insurance company would re-imburse for one. I called my insurance company and who knew that a wig was a medical device? Not me, now we all do, and who knew that there are special shops that are fabulous in taking care of people just like me? We found one in Dallas and made a girls trip out of it- "Survivor Gals" took such good care of me, our AMAZING friends, Martha & Amanda (aka, ahhhh Smart!) and my cousins Lucy & Jennifer joined me and we had fun!!! Don't you all wish you could have been there to see me as a blond? No, but red looked good ;)!
Then we went to do a little shopping before I completely needed to say "calgon take me away"!
We meet with Dr Cynthia Osborne at 11:00, the oncologist at Baylor. Again, thank you for always providing us your unconditional support.

ReplyDeleteYou truly are beautiful, inside and out.
Your beauty shines through whether with long hair, short hair, red hair, blond hair, blue hair or no hair at all. I remember when I lost mine, Sylvia was there to hold me and reminded me that God knows all of the hairs on our head. That was amazingly comforting. He made you wonderfully.
I am thinking of you. I want to remind you that I love you and that admire you so much. Keep fighting and you will be victorious. Your cousin Joel
